A Little Eucharistic Miracle

Our daughter Mary Helen had just received the Eucharist for the first time that morning! The moment was JOY-FILLED and SOLEMN and we were looking forward to coming home as a family to celebrate this beautiful Sacrament Day! However, once home, we knew our joy would be mixed with sorrow for our dear dog, Jack had been missing for days and we were reaching the point of no return in our hope to get him back...his brother, Thunder had been found and was sulking alone in the fenced dog area of our yard. Mary Helen told us all that she had offered her first Holy Communion for the return of Jack, asking Jesus to please accept her gift and lead her beloved pet home. (We knew that he'd been gone almost too long for a return at this point.) As we walked up to the dog-yard to check on Thunder, the children began to gasp and shout for JOY, when out of the distant woods and through the farmer's fields afar, we could see OUR JACK bounding for home!!! Many hugs, pets, doggie treats, and snuggles later, we were still thanking Jesus that He had heard this sweet little girl's plea and granted her a Eucharistic Miracle that day! We were all very moved by Mary Helen's great faith and confidence in approaching Our Lord at His Altar! Judy Christian e-book
