Our Audio Catechism Story...

...and how we've been able to sell CDs

Baltimore Catechism - Catholic audio books and ebooks!

"What is your Audio Catechism Story?"

"These Audio Catechism (CDs and Downloads)and Copybooks are so great! How did you do them?"

The answer? Our story rests on the grace of the duty of state and listening to good advice. We made sure to teach the First Communion and Confirmation basic Catholic beliefs to our own children, and wanted to teach them well.

Our story began thirteen years ago when our first child was to receive her First Communion. We were told that the date would be in August. Then our pastor was relocated. The next pastor said that First Holy Communion would take place in September or October. So we continued to review the Baltimore Catechism questions and answers.

Then November, December.... Yes, you might have guessed it, the date was finally Mother's Day! We didn't guess it, yet at about November we told our daughter that once she could pronounce and remember her catechism answers well enough, we would put the questions and answers on a cassette that she could keep and review at will even while she played with her sister and brother, colored or worked on crafts. Voila! Audio catechism.

Catechist!

That same season we were asked to teach the First Communion catechism for our very small mission chapel. It seemed like it would be easy enough. Wasn't it for very small children? Yes. The responsibility made it seem more important, though, to be sure that our own children could answer well. By taking the responsibility to our now increased duty of state seriously we made sure to find the best Catholic Catechism for our First Communion students!

Audio Catechism Story - Change In Lesson Plans!

Then we moved to another parish. The sisters were using a better set of questions and answers from an excellent First Communion book called Jesus Comes.

A good many of these answers were the same, yet there were some excellent additions. Wow! Time to do another cassette. We had had even less time available at that time because two of our children were learning from different books and baby number five was on her way. Simply, two different catechisms were being used in the same school. No time to look into it. Mom and Dad needed the review help of the audio cassette even more!

Simple answer? Put all of the questions on the same cassette!

The Best Thing Happened ... By God's Grace!

Getting all of the answers recorded became a priority since we soon had eight children and needed more review after we taught the children the answers so that they could remember the answers for class and more importantly... for life!

We had our task cut out for us, especially to record the answers in a six-year-old user friendly format! Rewinding a homemade cassette was not the easiest task for some of our little ones and led to the next step in our audio catechism story.

The question was, "How?"

The Answer... Audio Catechism CDs!

Audio Baltimore Catechism CDs were the answer! The local computer expert showed us how to produce the CDs professionally!

No more rewinding an endless (treasured) cassette.

Track numbers could now match the question numbers of the booklet that could be included on the same enhanced CD! All of the questions and their answers that are usually asterisked to be memorized for First Communion and Confirmation preparation were included.

The next line in our audio catechism story is that we began giving the Catechism CDs to our Godchildren, nieces and nephews, friends and acquaintances. Soon people began asking for them. Soon we could not afford to continue handing out the Audio CDs for free. We saw that this was the beginning of a true apostolate, as confirmed by several priests and religious.

How To Share Our Audio Catechism Story With Others?

St. Anne's Helper Audio Catechism CDs We started building our tiny Catholic business in 2007 after perfecting our Audio Catechism products. We worked hard to develop and publish them in a professional format, and to present them to many major Catholic book publishing companies and Catholic book sellers.

Priests, catechists, parents, students and converts have written to thank us for our apostolate; but guess what? We had no venue to reach the larger market for Catholic audio book CDs!

So, long story short, after two years working the usual venues for a Catholic business we had few bookstores interested in our CDs. Few people had heard of them - of course! We have a brand new idea.

Then my sister said, "You need a website."

She and her husband had already set up their successful website and knew that what we needed was to sell our product and build the base for a larger Catholic business.

Gasp! We could barely use email! Aren't websites expensive?...

Well, we saw their success and decided to use their good advice. We began to build this website in December of 2008. At the beginning we had not known much more than how to use email! We did not trust "drag and click"! This was the biggest step in our audio catechism story. Now, after using a step by step tutorial of how to do all that we have done; we have traffic; a great Alexa rank; many Catholic companies, parishes and schools linking to our site; new and successful products and affiliations; and most importantly - SALES!

Also, there are several of us in our family who now know how to build our own successful websites! A great education for our young adults - and we're growing even when we do not "work" on the site!

Audio Catechism Story Update!

Catholic Worksheets and Catechism Copybooks! As a result of the step by step process for creating a successful website with focused traffic, we learned how to sell our CDs as downloads! The same sales could be made with none of the hassle of shipping and handling and the customer gets the product immediately. We now have international friends as a result!

Let's just say that we love checking the email now. It is a highlight in our Audio Catechism Story!

As our littlest ones were growing older we produced Catechism Copybooks to match the CDs so that the children could have practice with spelling the catechism words and handwriting worksheets that used good material.

In 2009 we realized that other teachers and parents would want these as well. Voila! More downloads. More sales!

The best thing is that we are now being approached by Catholic companies! Homeschool conventions are hosting our tables for us! Confirmation classes are linking to our pages!

These have all been a God-send and there is just so much that could be added to our Audio Catechism Story! We are so glad that my sister recommended SBI and that we used the phenomenal system and tools that it offers. We thank God for the opportunity to have built this website!

In 2010we are now "making car payments"! We've also started a second website with very much more potential since it has a much bigger site concept that appeals to a much larger audience of visitors. How do we find a good site concept? SBI shows us how in a proven step-by-step process with the same tutorial help!

In 2011 we needed to add to our tax return for 2010! Our accountant said, "I know a bunch of people who are doing sites, but you are the first ones who've had anything to report." Our traffic and our incomes continued to rise till, of course, summer! Yea! School's out. Oops. So was traffic and income. Now that school is back in season, we're back up to our April levels! We are so grateful, too!

Here's a Video Tour to get an idea of how it works (Quick Tour if you have "dial up").

This is what convinced us; normal people like us can do this! All of these sites are in the top 1% of the most successful sites on the web. Ours made that level in the first eleven months! SBI has the results! Hundreds of successful websites - not just a few celebrities.

Yes, in the beginning stages this is a lot of work. But we are "working" at what we love and at what we live every day! You can do it in your spare time with no deadlines, YOU set the pace.

It's risk free! SBI is happy for you to try it out.

You don't have to have a product to sell. Every time someone clicks on our "Ads by Google" we make money. Every time someone buys from our affiliates we make a small commission. You can do this with a purely informational site! We answer more about what we make and other updates here. SBI shows you how to do all of this. It showed us how to create and sell egoods and how to use affiliates.

There are more ideas for you here with these case studies, detailed recountings of individual SBI experiences, each in their own words, in their own styles. Remember that SBI will be with you every step of the way with all the help you want. Go ahead and give it a try!

Be encouraged that you can do what these have done. We are! If we can do it, you can too. Try it risk free!
