A Look Inside With Catechism Copybook Samples
The Catechism Copybook samples offered here are to help you "see inside" as you would if you had the book in your hand. They offer no fluff, just plain common sense writing worksheets. You are free to teach any handwriting style. We prefer Spalding or D'nelian for their methods because they lead so easily to cursive writing, yet our fonts lend easily to nearly any "style". This way the child doesn't feel as if he is learning a whole new "language".
They also lend themselves well to students who are beginners who are using the dictation method for manuscript or cursive writing!
They are useful as writing worksheets, and even reading comprehension worksheets since the text is the same as the audio or what has been learned of the Baltimore Catechism from another source.

Basic Catholic Beliefs
Any text used at St. Anne's Audio Catechism will only use text that concurs with the Baltimore Catechism and the Douay-Rheims Bible. No need to "search" in matters of the basic Catholic beliefs! These questions and answers are clearly taught in both the Audio Catechism CDs and the Catechism Copybooks. (See the Catechism Copybook samples above.) The numeration of the text files and copybooks are the same as the numeration on the audio CD tracks! St. Anne's Helper Catechism Copybook samples show that there is a beautiful way to learn the Catholic answers and to have beautiful manuscript and cursive writing practice.
Writing In A Copy Book
St. John Baptiste de la Salle used the writing method and was persecuted for it. The government of the day would physically break up the classes and destroy the desks and slates. The book called Master of Mischief Makers tells an excellent story of his Brothers of the Christian Schools. His heroic defense of teaching writing to the children is the encouragement we had needed to add these Catechism Copybooks to our apostolate.The copybook method is ages old. Yet students of old frequently only had slates to work from. A good education requires very few materials! When composition notebooks became more commonly available, the copy method was still a very successful method in education and much easier to use. Composition notebooks are so useful that they are still commonly available and very much in use.
