Our Catholic Business
We started building our Catholic business in 2007 after years of working to perfect our favorite products. We worked hard to develop unique Catholic audio books and Catholic ebooks, to publish them in a professional format, and to present them to many major Catholic book publishing companies and Catholic book sellers. Priests, catechists, parents, students and converts have written to thank us for our apostolate; but guess what? We had no venue to reach the larger market for Catholic audio book CDs or Catholic Ebooks!
Then my sister said, "You need a website."
She and her husband had already set up their succesful website and knew what we needed to sell our product and build the base for a larger Catholic business.
So, after two years working the usual venues for a Catholic business we used her good advice and began to build this website using SiteSell.com, and its Internet business building program entitled, SiteBuildIt in December of 2008. At the beginning I had not known much more than how to use email! I did not trust "drag and click"! Now several of us in our family who know how to build our own successful websites! And we're doing it!

Selling Catholic Audiobooks
Our Catholic Audio Catechism story began thirteen years ago when our first child was to receive her First Communion. We were told that the date would be in August. Then our pastor was relocated. The next pastor said that First Holy Communion would take place in September or October. So we continued to review the Baltimore Catechism questions and answers.
Then November, December.... Yes, you might have guessed it, the date was finally Mother's Day ! Yet we didn't guess it, yet at about November we told our daughter that once she could pronounce and remember her catechism answers well enough, we would put the questions and answers on a cassette that she could keep and review at will even while she played with her sister and brother, colored or worked on crafts. Voila! The first Audio Catechism.
After much development from those early days we decided that audio CDs were the answer. Professionally produced Catholic Audio CDs with the fully reproducible text of the words right on the same enhanced CD! Each track matches the question number for ease of reference.

is the main vehicle by which we sell our products even though we are now receiving orders from Catholic bookstores as well. Our website presence has added to our credibility. Creating and Selling Catholic Ebooks
As we were teaching our children their catechism we realized that a good portion of the effort needed to really study a topic could be reduced if we had a copybook format of our catechism Audiobooks (see Our Story). If the material was right there for the children to copy, the effort of writing would be reduced so that the learning and memorizing would go easier. Added bonus? Handwriting and spelling skills were improved, too. A further bonus was that we had Catholic Worksheets that we could hand to the children without much explanation necessary, they are already familiar with the catechism and copying some of their work. A catechism E-Copybook was the answer and is a product that sells itself - literally - since it is downloadable. The email sends us money! Same with the downloadable E-Audiobooks!
We had created these in a format that offered the text to copy in a font that was what we wanted the children to imitate, or as close to it as we could get.
As our CDs and Download sales took off, we realized that these copybooks would be salable as well. We chose to use E-junkie.com since it had the first week free and is the best recommended downloads carrier we could find for the price and the benefits. We had no idea we would meet with the success that we have. We simply followed the step by step "fill in the blank" tutorial at SBI! E-junke also has an affiliate program (click the link above, then click "Become a Reseller" way at the bottom of the page), which means that we now have other sites that sell our ebooks. By directing others to E-junkie we also receive a commission if those visitors sign up as one of E-junkie's affiliates.
My sister is a graphics artist and was able to email us a copy of our work in pdf format within the hour of our emailing it to her. We then uploaded them to E-junkie. It was a fairly simple process. Our info resides at E-junkie and they send out the product with copy protection. This has worked well for us and we have sold hundreds of dollars worth during the months of September, October, and November each. These are not yet our real season either and this is from our beginning year of 2009. We have yet to see the First Communion and Confirmation months of March through May 2010.

The design and the content were what others sought, so our business has grown to being over half Catholic ebooks and downloadable Catholic Audiobooks! Thanks to SBI! About Our Catholic Ebooks
St. Anne's Helper's Audiobook Catechisms for both First Communion and Catholic Confirmation are arranged with each question and its answer on its own track for easy navigation. Need to memorize the Apostles' Creed or the Ten Commandments? Easy. Just go to the specific track and press "repeat one"! Do you want a self correcting quiz? Easy. Just press "pause" between the question and the answer!
The text of both the questions and their answers is included as a text file on the same CD or Download as the audio file! There's no need to buy another booklet. Better! This one is reprintable for as many copies as you need!
