Catholic Liturgical Calendar Resources!

Catholic liturgical calendars remind us of the Catholic holy days of obligation and the feast days through the liturgical year of our favorite Catholic saints. Different countries have different dates for the Catholic holy days, even year to year so it is almost necessary to have a local ordo to go with your calendar, watch your parish bulletin, or diocesan paper; but many dates remain the same every year.

You can find a current Catholic liturgical calendar or Ordo and beautiful Advent Calendars at Aquinas And More Catholic Church Goods. We also have free Catholic Holy Days Of Obligation coloring pages.

See some of the main dates on the Catholic calendar in the list below and below that are sources to find and purchase a calendar to keep track of the variable dates like Ash Wednesday, Easter, Ascension Thursday, Pentecost, Advent and the different feasts of the Catholic saints throughout the year.

Here is a list of the Universal Catholic Holy Days of Obligation? Would you like a reminder of the Holy Days? We have a Catholic Holy Days Of Obligation Reminder, a near monthly ezine, that reminds you to mark your calendars.

Buy Unique Catholic Liturgical Calendars

The following are the places that we have found to buy the Catholic liturgical calendars that coordinate with the 1962 Catholic Missal (which makes it easy to coordinate the date to the Masses of the Catholic feast days found in various old Missals with the appropriate Ordo.

Are you looking for the names of Roman Catholic saints or even particular patron saints? The Catholic calendars have the saints names on the date of the Catholic feast days which is handy when a new baby is born and you want the name of the saint of the day for the Baptismal name.

Some Catholic calendars have separate lists of patron saints in the back of the callendar which is very handy when you have a particular theme and want to know which is the patron saint for that theme. Some websites have extensive searches that can find a patron by "cause" like Aquinas and More Catholic Church Goods.

For example: If your friend is a fireman, you can find the patron saint of firemen by using this patron saint list and then find an appropriate gift or card for that theme. We know a town that raised funds for its fire barn by selling remembrance bricks. One of the townsmen bought bricks that said "St. Florian, pray for us." The ideas are endless, and a good list of patron saints is so helpful.

More Liturgical Calendars

Some of the most interesting Catholic calendars are hard to find online. We will add more as we find them. Here are the physical addresses of those that we have found:

Other good Catholic liturgical calendars can be found atTan Books

TAN Books and Publishing has an admirable history of finding and republishing Catholic treasures like the Douay-Rheims Bible, the Catechism of the Council of Trent, and the 1962 Roman Catholic Daily Missal.

The Catholic Missal has the feast days and ordo of 1962 so it is very helpful to have a Catholic Liturgical calendar to coordinate! The time that this is the biggest help is when you own your own very old copy of the Catholic Missal that doesn't have the Masses of some of the newer saints according to the 1962 Missal. Usually the newer saints have Masses of the common saints so that you can then go to those Masses in your old Missal.
