Christmas Traditions from Judy

by Judy
(PA, USA)

One of our favorite Christmas traditions is our procession of the Infant Christ Child to His manger on Christmas Day.

During Advent, we keep an empty manger (made of popsicle sticks) in the center of our Advent wreath...nearby is a bowl of straw and the children may add a sprig or two whenever they've offered a good deed for the Baby Jesus.
By Christmas, hopefully, we have built Him a comfy place to rest His tiny head!

On Christmas Day, we give the honor of carrying the Baby Jesus to our youngest child who is able...and we all follow 'round the house in procession as we sing Christmas hymns. We place the holy Infant in our manger and then remove the Advent wreath, leaving only OUR SAVIOR as the center of our focus.

Each year, as God has added children to our family, this is one of the Christmas traditions grows more and more dear to us!

What Sweet Christmas Traditions!
by: Mary from Kansas

Judy, your Christmas traditions are very dear! You must have a very dear and close family! What a great amount of love and devotion goes into your Christmas customs. Your family parade of Christmas hymns and making Baby Jesus as the focus of the day must be one of His most unique Christmas gifts! We are all tickled at the thought of your dear little ones marching around with Baby Jesus on His birthday. That must be quite a treat to watch, both in Heaven and on earth! May God bless your dear family.
