Kolbe Academy Home School Curriculum
Kolbe Academy uses the Baltimore Catechism to teach the Catholic beliefs in its home school curriculum. Saint Maximilian Kolbe is its patron saint. "Kolbe Academy Home School has embraced the principle of subsidiarity by offering an educational program that you implement in your home. We are not a correspondence program. With Kolbe, the parent is the teacher and is truly in charge of the child’s education. This is in keeping with the dictum of Pope John Paul II that "the parents have been appointed by God Himself as the first and principal educators of their children...their right is completely inalienable." (Familiaris Consortio 40)
St. Anne's Helper Audio Catechism (reprintable text included - CDs or Downloads) and Catechism Copybooks (reprintable Catholic ebooks - see below) make learning the basic Catholic beliefs easy and fun! Kolbe Academy's Religion program recommends the Baltimore Catechism (a most concise source of the Roman Catholic beliefs) and parents now have tutorial help with St. Anne's Helper First Communion and Confirmation preparation. Catholic homeschooling parents can have audio and print tutorial help with the memory work and drill. Kolbe Academy

The Audio Catechisms for both First Communion and Catholic Confirmation are arranged with each question and its answer on its own track for easy navigation and correspond well with the theology taught at Kolbe Academy. Need to memorize the Catholic prayers or the Catholic Ten Commandments? Easy. Just go to the specific track and press "repeat one"! Do you want a self correcting quiz? Easy. Just press "pause" between the question and the answer!
The text of both the First Communion and the Catholic Confirmation Catechisms are also available as Catechism Copybook Ebooks as well! They are downloadable now. You can reprint as many as you would like. The First Communion Catechism Copybook is available in beautiful Manuscript. The Confirmation Catechism Copybook is available in either beautiful Manuscript or beautiful Cursive - your choice!
