The Pope's Cologne At Excelsis
By Dr. Fred Hass!

We just love this fragrance and the story behind it!

The Pope's Cologne is a unique gift idea!

Pope Pius IX is one ot the greatest Popes that ever lived!

Did you know that Pope Pius IX reigned as Pope longer than any other Pope in history?

Did you know that Pope Pius IX had corresponded with Jefferson Davis and recognized the Confederate States of America?

Did you know that Pope Pius IX consecrated the Catholic Church to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, disciplined the participation of Catholics in political life with the Non expedit and restored the Catholic hierarchy of Scotland?

Suffering from poor health, he gave his last address to the parish priests of Rome on 2 February 1878. On 7 February the longest pontificate in history ended with his holy death.

Did you know that the Catholic Church has named him Blessed Pope Pius IX?

This "is an interesting story with the formula for the cologne apparently passing from Pius IX to either General (Baron) Charles Charette or his wife Baroness Antoinette Polk (who was a heroine of the Confederacy during the Civil War). From her the formula eventually ended up in the possession of her niece Mary Adair Skipwith Alden and she put the formula into Maryland's Way". - Dr. Fred Hass

The Pope's Cologne

....a fresh new fragrance from the past!

"The Pope’s Cologne is a classic Old World cologne made from the private formula of Pope Pius IX (1792-1878). We obtained this formula from descendants of the commander of his Papal Guard and faithful friend, General Charles Charette. We have followed this complex, exclusive formula meticulously, using the same essential oils that his perfumers used 150 years ago. We believe that we have succeeded in capturing the same fragrance that he and those around him enjoyed so long ago. This is a truly extraordinary cologne with surprising freshness and notes of violet and citrus. We are pleased that you will have the opportunity to enjoy this wonderful, historic fragrance. It is an honor for us to be able to produce it and make it available for your pleasure today." Excelsis website!

A free Pope Pius IX Holy Card will be included with each bottle of The Pope’s Cologne ordered while supplies last.

Dr. Fred Hass has given us permission to offer you a clip from the CBS Sunday Morning Show with Bill Geist. See the video below! We think that you will like Dr. Hass, his family, and his Pope's Cologne at Excelsis!
