ST JUDE PRAYER

St. Jude is the patron saint of impossible cases. Holy Saint Jude, Apostle and Martyr, great in virtue and rich in miracles, near kinsman of Jesus Christ, faithful intercessor of all who invoke thy special patronage in time of need. To thee I have recourse from the depths of my heart and humbly beg to whom God has given such great power to come to my assistance. Help me in my present and urgent petition, in return I promise to make thy name known and cause thee to be invoked. St. Jude pray for us and all who invoke thy aid. Amen. * Pray an Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be three times. Say once a day for nine days, especially beginning on 20 October and ending on 28 October, the eve of the Feast of St. Jude. When the Novena is finished, you must publicly thank St. Jude for his prayers for you. This is often done by taking out a small ad in the Classifieds section of newspapers. You may publish your thanksgiving to St. Jude in the comments below. Please keep a dear friend of mine in your prayers. Her name was Judy, she went to St. Jude's parish, and she died on the eve, or the day, of St. Jude's feast day, October 28 several years ago. She had a strong devotion to St. Jude and I think of her when I think of him. May God rest her soul and comfort her family. St. Jude, pray for us! |
