St. Nick's Feast Day

by Jennifer
(Hagerstown, MD)

St. Nicholas, pray for us!

St. Nicholas, pray for us!

The kids love to celebrate St. Nick's Feast Day on December 6th. This year, we will be attending the Byzantine Mass the day before. So when we come home, the kids will put out their shoes and wake to some little treats which have included holy medals and cards, movie tickets to see the Narnia movie, chocolate coins, etc.

We have also enjoyed many of the crafts and recipes at www.stnicholascenter.com.

In addition to St. Nicholas's feast day, we also enjoy the many saints in the Advent season, including St. Juan Diego (Dec 9th), Our Lady of Guadalupe (Dec 12th), and St. Lucy (Dec 13th).

Lusekatters for St. Lucy's feast day are an annual tradition. Many recipes can be found on line.

Happy Advent!

St. Nick Is A Favorite During Advent!
by: Mary

What a sweet tradition to remind the children of the generous things that St. Nicholas did for others! Mass is the best way to celebrate a Catholic Saint's feast and it must be a dear sight to see your children in anticipation! St. Nicholas, pray for us!

There are so many dear saints during these weeks, too. Our Lady has two that we treasure and venerate with Mass as well! Her feast of the Immaculate Conception is the anniversary of several of our daughters' being members of the Children of Mary and the anniversary of some of our Total Consecrations to Mary.
